We don't mind stealing ideas - especially when they're good ones! And Al Dunning's been known to have a few good one's here and there. The traditional draw rein is round and while some folks like that we figured there would be those of you out there that would prefer a flat rein like you're used to riding in the rest of the time. Draw reins are most often used along with your regular reins to give you a little extra authority when your working on things like lead changes. Even with these I'd recommend putting knots in them to let you know where to stop taking up rein. Draw reins give you a lot of power and you never want to abuse it by asking for too much.
