"Tell Les I had almost completely finished my horse on Foundation Level and decided to take him to a trainer to finish him. The trainer was impressed and said he was the softest horse he had ever had brought to him, unfortunately he came up lame before our 1st show, but I have to tell you when the trainer said he steered like a Cadillac, and I was able to ride Rocky at a lope around him while he was standing still and I could have held my hand on the trainers head the whole time was a thrill. Until 5 years ago, I had not ridden a horse at more than a walk, I thought you just get on and ride, so over the past few years with help from my wife several trainers and friends and Cowhorse U, I have started a journey that I thought would be short and sweet before I would be able to show, Instead it has been long at times, hard and frustrating when my body would not do what I thought I was telling it to do, But I have found the journey more fun than anything I have ever done and that is just beginning. Thanks Les for Cowhorse U.
55 and just starting to learn."

"P.S. We will be purchasing the advance Cowhorse U in the near future."

"I am wanting give Les a big complement on his Cowhorse U Foundation Level Dvd series. I originally purchased it to train a Hollywood Dun It mare that my daughter received as a gift. What I learned from the Dvd's I applied to a 5 year old gelding I trained, and it has made a huge difference in him.
I used to watch the training shows on RFD-tv, but now I just pop in Cowhorse U and try to pick up another tip by rewatching the Dvd's. The trainers on RFD would talk about parts of collection, but they never really put the parts together, in one show. Les explains collection, and its importance very well. I used to have 8 other training dvd's, from various trainers. I sold them all on E Bay, because Cowhorse U is that good.
Let me know if Les is back in Nebraska next year, my wife and I would like to attend a clinic."
Thanks

"I purchased the Foundation level training videos in December. I wanted to pass along that you have one VERY satisfied customer. Please pass on to Les that I looked for years for this type of training and I appreciate from my heart his willingness to pass this information on. I feel like I have a trainer at my home. I may wear out my videos! I look forward to working through this series and moving on to the next series of videos. I have no plans to ever show my Morgan horse in Reined Cowhorse events but I believe this is fantastic training for every horse. I am having a blast and so is my horse. And yes, he has gotten it through my thick skull, it is all in the neck."

"I just received his Independent Study Program. I am not a beginner but I have some bad habits and WOW what a eye opener. WHY and more WHY did I not get this program before. I LOVE this guy. I got the program by paying in installments of $50.00 a month. I got an email from them that said if I have any questions just email. I am not rich but I CAN afford this program. I would highly recommend it to anyone whom wants to win on a budget!"

"Hi Linda & Les,
My horses have always been some of the better trained barrel horses on the rodeo circuit, but I had no idea how much better they could be. In September 2007, I ordered the CowHorse U Level One Independent study program. When I received the Cowhorse U set, I stopped all barrel work for 4 months and went back to basics, following the steps of CowHorse U with every one of our horses. Your program has provided me with wonderful techniques to improve the basic training of my Barrel horses.

Our home raised 4 yr old "Lightning" had only been loping the barrel pattern a few weeks when I started your program. I was very careful not to skip any steps, I was determined to do things right and to get excellent results. (I have since ordered the CowHorse U Level 2 .)
I put him back on the barrel pattern in February 08. His first race was a small jackpot in March where is made a great debut. Only 4 weeks later in his 7th race ever, he pulled a check at Cave Creek PRCA rodeo and has never looked back...
I am sure you are familiar with the Women's Professional Rodeo Assn contestants that compete in the Ladies Barrel race event at the National Finals Rodeo every December in Las Vegas?
The WPRA now recognizes its Top 15 Barrel Futurity horses and the Top 10 Derby horses at our WPRA World Finals in Tulsa, Oklahoma 11/18-22/08. This nationwide Barrel Futurity program offers a place for us to promote our 5 yr old rodeo Barrel horses in their the first year of competition. While competing in this program, our young horses also become accustom to the rigors of rodeo life on the road. In their 2nd year of competition, 6 or 7 yr old horses can compete for WPRA Derby Awards. Even though 2008 is only the 3rd year of this futurity program, it is becoming quite popular with the top Women Barrel Horse Trainers of our industry.
Although the point standings are not current on the WPRA Web Page, my 5 yr old LRM Lightning Watch, is now leading the WPRA World Standings in the Futurity Division. I have been keeping track of points, and I am pretty sure we have the title secured before I ever get to Tulsa.
Basic training is never addressed by barrel horse trainers. They just want to teach "barrel work". They expect well started horses to be presented for barrel training. (I should know, I have trained barrel horses for many years! ) This leaves an educational black hole for the average barrel racer, training their own horse. Cowhorse U Level One, fills this void. "

" I audited a Les clinic in the Red Lodge area last spring. WOW! Purchased the cow horse U and have watched it a dozen time, picking it apart and digesting it all. Liked it soooooo much gave it to my riding instructor ( Laurie Erban of Bozeman) as a X-mas gift this year. Can't go without it so I have reordered it for myself once again. Laurie has really begun to implement Les teachings. The CDs are great for a horseman at my level. The way he breaks everything down couldn't be better. I have spent the past three years reading, watching videos and taking clinics. The cow horse U is the best. Please thank Les for making a CD that is from the ground up. When I was going through medical school ther was a series of books such as Anatomy for the dummy or Anatomy made ridiculously simple. Les has done for horsemanship what these books did for me as a medical student."

"This is great stuff! And I'm using it on an eleven year old horse that has had success in the RHAA (Ranch Horse Association of America), but it
seemed like I was riding s different horse this evening."

"I received your program yesterday. From what little I've read and seen on the DVD's this is going to help me a lot in training my own horses. This is going to be a great thing. Tell Mr Vog
t that this is the best thing that anyone could come up with."

"I cannot speak too highly of the Cow Horse U program. Les is not only one of the very best performers but he can teach nicely too. This is a fairly unusual combination! I appreciate having a coherent system set down in detail and in terms that can be easily understood. Les has a really pleasant manner and goes at the right pace for me. My horse is benefitting already. "

CowHorse U is really helping me understand how to 'operate' my horse. I am developing softer hands which has given me a horse that is soft and responsive to the bit. When my horse is resisting a maneuver, I understand how to redirect what I am asking and go back to the foundation elements to fix the problem. This has saved me from many arguments that my horse wins instead of me. I finally understand how to consistently move the shoulders and hips to get solid lead departures everytime. I especially like the training schedule in the program because I know what I should expect from my horse before moving on to new elements. It keeps me honest! I feel like I am training and progressing, not staying at the same place."

"This Foundation Level Series was very helpful to me. I have started to do Ranch Sorting and realized that my horsemanship needed some work. The DVDs are very clear and progress in a logical manner. Basically you need to learn each maneuver before you advance to the next.
The book is very helpful and is a nice reinforcer for the DVDs. There are also some great clips on Youtube of college students applying this program in a colt starting class. I got a lot out of it once I watched the DVDs in this pack."
