Elevator Bit-9 3/4" long cheeks with a leverage ration of 1 to 1 (1:1). This bit has no leverage, only action. Smooth snaffle 5 1/8" 11mm mouthpiece with copper inlay. The setting of this bit gives you maximum results with minimum rider effort. Lower setting (1/2" down from corners) will drop the head and neck. High setting (2 or 3 wrinkles) will lift neck and cause flexion at the poll. Always adjust curb fairly loose for best results. Perfect for neck, shoulder, and collection control development and maintenance.

Great bit with or without the chin strap.

I've ridden a similar bit for over 40 years, and I needed to replace it, and this bit did not disappoint.

I tried this bit because i have a horse who is do low headed that i get penalized in my Ranch score. As Les says it helps lift the front end. This bit has helped him lift and drive more. Surprisingly this had not brought the head down but up. Nice tool to have in my tack room

    Worth the money

After trying a Vogt at my trainers, I bought a different brand thinking I'd get the same result and that didn't happen. Sometimes it pays to just spend a little extra to get quality. This bit reminds my sometimes high headed cow horse to bend at the poll and lift her shoulders, which makes her job a lot easier.

    Purpose of using this bit

I like this bit for the purpose of making my horses drop their heads. I use it intermittently for that purpose.

Gear for horses that want to lean on your hands. You will need a small headstall to go with it because of the shanks. It was hard to find one that would work.
